Details for this Thursday’s meeting. (23rd Jan)

Members, can send up to 3 sets of ‘Before & After’ images from any of our previous practical evenings to Competition Secretary by midnight on Tuesday.

Each set should ideally consist of an original image (Before) and your edited image (After) and be sized and titled as per our standard competition requirements.

The idea is to expand on the thoughts and process of undertaking the editing process during the presentation of your edited images.

If time allows, we will undertake some live editing on some of the images for an alternative view.

As usual, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

Practical Evening – Thursday evening

Happy New Year All.

2025 has soon arrived and we are back to St. Thomas’ on Thursday.

This week we have a practical evening using available light. Bring along your cameras and tripods for an exploratory night of light availability.

Please feel free to bring props so we can create a couple of still life sets.

If you have an ornate lamp or safe candle, old books etc. We can also have another go at iPad and bulb photography if we can have a couple of volunteers to set this up.

New year – new stuff. Anyone had any new kit from Santa they want help and advice with we can also help.

Don’t forget your camera, a charged battery and tripod.

As usual, 7.15 for a 7.30 start.

Next week, we have our first competition of 2025. This round is’ Open Print’.

Digital copies of your images should be emailed to Tim by midnight on Sunday.

Please bring your prints on the evening of the competition by 7:15pm to allow the labels to be attached, and to give time for the judge to preview them before the comp begins at 7:30pm.
