Who are we

A friendly bunch of photographers meeting weekly during the winter and fortnightly during the summer

Chesterfield Photographic Society is a non profit organisation dedicated to promoting photography and supporting the growth and development of our members.

We have a long history of excellence and a diverse membership. We offer opportunities for learning, sharing and community building in the world of photography.

Our society

Established in 1938, Chesterfield photographic Society is a community of amateur and semi-professional photographers with varied interests and abilities. We welcome all levels of photographers and provide opportunities for learning, sharing and growth.

Meetings

We meet weekly on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm to 21.30pm, Sept to April. We get together fortnightly during the summer either at the centre or organised trips out. Please see the Events Programme for whats on on specific dates.

Our meetings include presentations by notable guest photographers, discussions, practical workshops and occasional competitions to develop our skills and expertise

Join us

We are always on the lookout for new members, particularly beginners who are starting photography for the first time.
